Just a quick shout out to Knowledge (I’ve only just got the pun now too, cripes) which is a more games biz focused newsletter currently helmed by Patrick Garratt and Marie Dealessandr, so in good hands.
Two issues in and it’s living up to its promise of being a compassionate, useful, look at the business of games. The newsletter format does mean that some stuff from the week goes without much comment and whilst there’s a part of me that would like more, there’s the other parts of me which is glad of not having to engage with something beyond glancing over a bullet point.
It’s good stuff, anyway. With Game Developer determined to cover every article in immovable banners and being entirely unreadable as a result and GI dot biz being gutted by Ziff Davies just as it was in its golden age and anywhere else being somewhere between unhinged and unreadable, it’s nice to have something else to fill the void.
